About Brunel Medical School (BMS):
Five outstanding scholarships are available to international students wishing to pursue an MBBS at Brunel Medical School (BMS). The scholarship will not be given in cash; instead, it will be subtracted from the cost of tuition. Each scholarship is worth more than £30,000 over the length of the five-year program.
Each scholarship is worth 15% of the annual tuition during the course of the five-year program. Subject to satisfactory academic progress, 15% of the first-year tuition fee is awarded in the first year, followed by 15% of the second-year tuition charge in the second year, etc.
There are two steps in the selection procedure for the BMS scholarship. The first step is to choose a small group of qualified applicants to interview for the scholarship. The best applicants are evaluated by the Brunel Medical School Admissions Committee based on their Virtual Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) score. The academic standing, personal statements, and references of candidates are taken into consideration for shortlisting in the event that the applicants have comparable MMI scores.
The second step is an online interview involving a brief presentation and discussion with the Interview Panel. The candidates are assessed on the following criteria:
- Aim to contribute to the school as BMS Ambassador according to the mission and vision of the school.
- Leadership skills and experience.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Aim to contribute to the medical profession after graduation according to the mission and vision of the school.
- Communication skills and thoughts organization.
